How to Book Your Class
There are two easy ways to book. Pay by card online to secure your place straight away, with email confirmation, or send us a WhatsApp message with the class, day and time you’d like to attend. A member of our team will reply to confirm your booking, usually within minutes, between 8am and 8pm.
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before class. Card payments will be refunded automatically. Cancellations made within 24 hours release your place, but are non-refundable.
To cancel, simply reply to your confirmation email or message us on WhatsApp.

Classes
What should I bring?
Are classes taught in English?
What kinds of classes do you run?
Private classes
Do you teach one to one?
Yes, and they are popular, so it is worth asking early rather than on the day.
A private class is the whole hour built around you: an injury to work around, a posture that will not come, a first lesson without a room full of people, or a couple or family who would rather practise together. Any of the teachers on the teachers page may be available.
Send us a WhatsApp message with what you are after and roughly when, and we will tell you who is free and what it costs.
Finding us
Where is the studio?
We are in Sayulita, about eight minutes on foot from the plaza. The town is small enough to cross on foot, but you can rent a golf cart or polaris if you need to drive over.
Open directions in Google Maps
If you cannot find the door, send us a WhatsApp message and we will guide you in.
Is there parking?
Yes, we have parking at the studio.
We’re about an eight-minute walk from the plaza, so many people walk to class. If you’re driving in from Puerto Vallarta or staying outside town, you can park at the studio without having to find a space in the centre.

Prices and payment
How much are classes, and how do I pay?
Prices are per class, in Mexican pesos, and every class on the schedule shows its own. Children’s classes cost less than the adult ones.
Book online and pay by card straight away: the payment is processed by Mercado Pago, on its own page, and your place is confirmed the moment it goes through. Book on WhatsApp instead and you pay at the studio when you arrive; which payment methods the studio takes in person is worth checking with us first.
Passes and retreats are still bought at the studio or arranged over WhatsApp, not online yet.

Questions and Answers
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Layers are great, since your body temperature may change throughout class.
Is there somewhere I can leave my things?
We ask you to bring the least amount of things to class, leave your phone at home or turn it off. If you are waiting for an emergency call, please let the teacher know and put the phone on vibrate near your mat.
Remove your shoes at the door to keep the practice space clean. Ensure all cell phones and smartwatches are completely silenced or turned off before entering the studio.
Do I need to bring my own mat or props?
No, mats and all props (blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets e.t.c) are provided at the studio. Though it is always better to have your own mat.
Will I be able to keep up?
Yes! Classes are designed to accommodate all levels, with modifications offered throughout so you can move at a pace that feels right for you.
What if I have an injury or physical limitation?
Let your teacher know before class, many of our styles (like Iyengar and Restorative) use props specifically to support different bodies, abilities, and limitations.
Is it okay to just watch or rest during class if I need to?
Absolutely. You’re always welcome to pause, rest in Child’s Pose, or simply observe, listening to your body is part of the practice.
Do I need to be flexible to start Yoga or Pilates?
No, flexibility is a result of yoga, not a prerequisite. Yoga is designed to meet you exactly where you are.
Can I eat before class?
It is best to avoid heavy meals 2 to 3 hours before practicing. A light snack like fruit or nuts 30 minutes prior is fine if you need energy.
What are the benefits of Pilates?
Pilates can help improve core strength, posture, balance, stability and mobility. It also encourages better body awareness and control, helping you move more confidently in everyday life.
Where is Sayulita Yoga Center?
We’re located at Plaza Cocula, a short walk from Sayulita’s main plaza. Come and enjoy a welcoming space to move, learn and build strength at your own pace.
Is Pilates suitable for all ages?
Pilates can be adapted for different ages and abilities. If you have an injury, ongoing pain or a medical condition, please speak to your healthcare professional and let your teacher know before class so they can discuss suitable modifications with you.
What is the etiquette regarding shoes and phones? Remove your shoes at the door to keep the practice space clean. Ensure all cell phones and smartwatches are completely silenced or turned off before entering the studio.
Can I try just one class?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to drop in and see how Pilates feels for you. It’s a great way to get started and decide whether the practice suits you.
